Lecce, chief town of Salento, has more or less 100.000 inhabitants. It is made up of a centre town placed in Piazza Sant’Oronzo, also centre of the ancient roman city (Lupiae), and some little areas all around its historical part.
Outside from the ancient Lupiae walls, Lecce is made up of commercial and offices areas. A long ring road connect Lecce with all the little towns all around included the wonderful sea places. |
